This is my first Cathleen Ross book and I really liked this one! It was a fast paced insta love story and its been awhile since I read a biker story. Hugh is one filthy talker, lol. The ending was cute especially between Alice's parents. The premise and cover is what made me one-clicked. I'm glad I gave this one a chance and was not disappointed.

Overall Opinion:
Wow! Less than 1 hour together, emotions rise and wham! Bang! They sleep together and everything is just so unrealistic and over the top that I couldn't find one thing I liked about this series. The characters relationship just seemed like a big joke and everything moved faster than I expected. The blurb was a lot more interesting that the book itself. Despite my appreciation for the ARC, this series wasn't enjoyable in the least and I couldn't find the motivation to finish it.
This was a quick, sexy read for fans of MC clubs and hunky male protagonists.
Hugo Boudreaux is on a mission to provide intel on the Banderos MC club and intercept a weapons drop, but when he meets the club president’s daughter, Alice, all bets are off. After their initial encounter, Alice’s father enlists Hugo as her personal bodyguard and things take a steamy turn.
I liked the New Orleans setting, the MC aspect, and the sexy scenes were well written. The romance was insta-lovey and some of the dialogue was a tad on the cheesy side but overall, this was a fun time!

This book was kind of good. It wasn’t anything bad per se.
The characters were interesting, engaging and had a boatload of chemistry.
However, I thought it was a little fast. Not in terms of the time frame for the characters’ relationship. More towards how the book was paced. I am totally fine with those binge reads but some binge reads don’t feel like that’s what they are. This one did.
It just didn’t suck me in.
I also couldn’t connect with either character.
Sometimes the feelings and thoughts would be way too abrupt.
When Hugo went to confront his past, it was very abrupt and not at all what I think would have been realistic.
Alice was also going back and forth on her emotions and her thinking and not in a way that say, I would do. I am known in my family for teeter tottering, going back and forth on things. But Alice was doing more than that.
Her father also lost his character several times. Going back on his word and so on. I couldn’t think about it too much as I was reading otherwise I would have thrown the tablet across the room.
While the story was fine for a weekend, beach read, it just wasn’t that enjoyable.
