Drifter is an alluring comic. It's a space western that's vague about what's going on fully, but you do really want to know by the end.

It dragged me along getting me more and more interested and while I didn't feel a huge payoff within this volume I think there is one coming up if I continue reading.

The art by Nic Klein is stunning, it captures the world very well and left me with an impression from the first few pages.

The script by Ivan Brandon, the prose particularly, is interesting paired with the art. It's a good combo that made for an interesting comic.

Things are not laid out as clearly as they could be but it feels very deliberate in how it's being told and I'm definitely going to read the second volume because of how this volume is left.

This series has potential. I like the western meets scifi mixup of this.

There were some interesting concepts and ideas introduced, but they were never really explored. Overall the story was confusing and all over the place. Characters weren't really developed and instead of being drawn in, I just became more and more disinterested as the "story" progressed.
