Love Eve Chase books, the prose is always gorgeous and evocative. This one is my favourite so far, and I found it more emotional than the others. I wish it hadn't been wrapped up quite so neatly though, just a few too many coincidences. For instance if Marge had orchestrated the finding of the baby with Walter, why didn't she tell him about Don being there? And why would she have killed Don, maybe if she'd had an investment in seeing the baby safe, like it was her grandchild or a relation that would have made sense. Also, there is no explanation as to how Sylvie was adopted. How did Rita find her, wouldn't the baby probably have been adopted by someone else by that point? Would social services really have given Sylvie to someone who had been involved in the murder case??
