This was so fun! Batgirl is my favorite DC hero, so I had to pick this one up when I saw it. The artwork in this (and in the rest of the series) is my favorite style, so I was very happy with the visual elements of this.

The language here is simple and geared toward young readers. There are two stories of crime fighting - the original one that prompts Barbara Gordon to become Batgirl and a second one later in the book with Livewire. In between those two stories there's information on Barbara's training, her relationship with Batman, the villains she fights, etc. If I was still teaching, I would pick up this entire series - my student would have loved them!
