One of those books you enjoy reading 3/4 but the last bit is very mediocre. Smutty but decent. When you spit out never ending books and plots they can’t all be aces

I LOVED THIS BOOK! I am binge reading James Patterson's books right now and although I really like all of them so far this one is one of my favorite stand alones.

This is one of the best books I've read in a long time.

Its short chapters are fast paced. The characters are unique and believable, although I found the protagonist Nina/Jeanine a little unlikable.

Finding out you don't really know someone as well as you think, a serial killer mystery, and one woman's effort to save a man on death row come together to form an amazing story.

My only complaint would be some of the plot is very unrealistic, and the dialogue seems forced a times.

Overall though a great summer read!

How does Patterson do it? He seems to crank out a book every month or so and each one is good. This one, however, is exceptional.

I was given this book by a friend. I haven't read a lot of James Patterson, but I do like the genre and thought I'd enjoy the book. The book was easy to read and moved very quickly. I like the short chapters and quick pace of the book that kept me reading. I actually read the book within 1 day. I started the book and then couldn't sleep and stayed awake to finish it. I didn't see the full extent of the story and was surprised in the end to find out that everything had been planned and connected. I thought some of the escape story seemed a little extreme, but it didn't occur to me to think that the scheme was so elaborate and went so far back. The closing of the story was more violent than I had expected, but it kept me in suspense. If you like suspense/mystery books I'd definitely recommend this. It was a good different type of book for me, not the genre I typically read. I would definitely look to read more James Patterson in the future.
