I was entertained by this book, so much in fact, that I read it in a day. I had been in a book funk, and as usual, Patterson helped me back into my joy of reading.

This is definitely a beach book. It is set in Key West and talks about many of the spots in the Keys of Florida as well as the life style.

A young college girl has one too many drinks and runs over someone. The cop who comes to the scene of the crime lets her off! This sets the scene for a cat and mouse game that includes murder, a last minute clemency, a serial killer, and falling in love.

A good book to read on the plane or at the beach when you don't really want to engage your brain cells.

1.4 stars. Ludicrous in so many ways -- but some readers love that kind of thing.

So I freaking love James Patterson! There isn't a book of his I've read yet that I don't like. I really love how fast paced they are and I never get bored. This one for me is one of my favorites, I loved the twist with Peter as I just wasn't expecting it (although going on my love for his books I probably should expect that sort of stuff by now). The main character "Nina" - if you've read it you'll know why I've put that in air quotes - was so developed and I really connected to her. Definitely recommend this book, and any of his books if you've never read one, if you like exciting, dramatic and mysterious thrillers.

I like James Patterson and I really liked this book. It was a short easy read that grabbed my attention right away.

It was a little slow starting, and a little predictable, but an overall good read.

James Patterson did it again! I was hooked in the story from page one. This fast-paced thriller with super short chapters makes it super easy to read "just one more" before you realised half the night has gone by. In retrospect, some of what happens is unrealistic, but it didn't bother me as I read - I was in for the ride!

Review of the audio edition. The recording of this is SO corny. The narrator's voice is so grating, especially when she puts on the Boston accent. The background noises and music were so unnecessary and made the story feel cheap. The storyline was so ridiculous and the characters poorly developed. This was my first James Patterson and perhaps also my last.
