Holy crap this book was so good! At first I was like yeah this seems like your average romance book but that ending totally took me by surprise! And the banter was top notch too. Highly recommend.

Whew this was quite a read. The cover ≠ plot, that’s for sure. Took some points off due to the first 75% of the book being largely smut based as the FMC navigates the grief of losing her husband and moving on, then the final 25% of the book is an insane plot twist, a ton of info being thrown at you at once, while answering every question and loose end that happened previously. The pet names like “bunny” and “master” were so cringe. Would’ve loved to see an epilogue of Kayla and Aiden enjoying the afterlife more.

I went into this kind of blind. It's been on my TBR for about 2 years. I wish I had read it sooner! Definitely check your TW, but it was such a good read. I went in thinking it was a dark romance like Haunting Adeline, but I honestly wouldn't even call it that. I'd say it's more of a paranormal/ suspense/ romance with LOTS of good spice.

I didnt guess the twist to this thriller like I normally do, so kudos to the author for that.
The author didnt really have to include thedescription of the main character getting murdered by her husband. That's potentially triggering to domesti violence victims or to those who have witnessed domestic violence. This book would benefit from some trigger warnings, in my opinion
