Wellllll, that wasnt what i thought it would be. There was literally no indication that this book would become what it became and while the writing was good and a little scary, im not sure i liked it.
I wont/cant put it down any stars cause its written well but i just didnt really like the dark supernatural aspect that it took. The spice was flames and Aiden was smoking but it just didnt need to go the way it did. Points for originality/being different but it just took me out of what i thought was going to be a really dark smutty prison bae vibe and it just sorta wasnt. But still, written well, good premise and reveal but just not for me.

I knew there was a big twist coming thanks to social media and because I knew it was coming i managed to guess half of it but the other part I'd have never worked out.
I don't have many friends or family that read but I've still told them all about this and wish it could be made into a film so I could make them watch it. A lot of books i read are good but not always movie material but I think this would have such a wide audience. I serious loved every second!

Wow...just, wow. I'm not sure I have the words to describe what I'm feeling about this book. At first I was thinking it wasn't going to be above a 3.5 rating but not even half way through my mind started changing to the perfect score I'm giving it. The originality (to me) of this story blew me away and left me reeling. It is nothing what I was expecting the book to be, especially the spook factor. The story of the characters and their connection is beautiful but also the damage of what trauma can do to a person is done so well. I am left emotionally wrecked and will now go cry myself to sleep and probably dream about this story. ðŸ˜

I’ll admit, the protagonist frustrated me at times—some of her decisions seemed irrational or naïve. However, by the end, the story ties these elements together in a way that makes sense and provides satisfying closure.
So, don’t judge this book by its cover. Beneath it lies a romantic suspense story that will surprise you—I know it surprised me.
