I hadn't read any of this author before and found it by a group challenge. It was a quick, fun read. I liked that the main character was an older person. I don't find a lot of books with older people being the main character. She was funny and it played to all her strengths and weaknesses. I liked it that it didn't make it seem she was just as good as when she was young but showed that even with age she still had some of it. Glad I tried this one.

Super-short cozy mystery. Read it to be companionable in an online book discussion group.

After being in a sort of slump for a while (exams ugh), this was a quick, fun book to bring me back into reading. I've never read a cozy mystery before, but this is what I thought they would be like.

The idea of following an old lady who just happens to be a retired CIA agent is hilarious to me but surprisingly wasn't boring. My life as a 16-year-old is probably more boring than hers if I'm being honest. She's able to simultaneously be a badass and a part of a senior citizens reading group. What else could you ask for?

The mystery was well done and even though it was kind of silly, the reveal was good and unexpected. Throughout the story, it kept me guessing, which is what I want from a mystery.

All in all a good book, but nothing tooooooo spectacular. Will probably read the others in the series.

I listened to this audio book for a book club and it was really enjoyable. It was only 3 hours long and is a short and captivating murder mystery. I'll definitely be listening to more in the series!

A quick easy read. I was told about this book at an author event, and bought it online to read on the flight home. A quick cozy mystery with a retired geriatric CIA agent at the heart of the story. Entertaining, with a low body count. If you want a quick read to see you through a short flight, then this is the book for you.
