The book gets pretty repetitive fast, as a lot of the chapters are just characters who get mentioned out of nowhere, just dying and it happens again and again. It definitely gets old quick however I did like the closing chapters for they gave a breathe of fresh air and broke the cycle of person A dying to person B only to be killed by person C. Homer doesn't shy away in detail of the death of these characters which are usually somewhat descriptive which is pretty nice else the book would overstay it's welcome even more in my eyes.

none of that would have happened if Achilles and Hector just kissed

Almost as many lists as battles.

I just couldn’t get through with it. I’ll try again when I remember my amazon password

perhaps all that we, as mortals, have in common is to die.
perhaps that makes us indistinguishable.
perhaps that makes us powerful.

Read during summer break before clerkship (4th year)

The most rewarding book I’ve read.

In the spirit of oral tradition, I listened to an abridged audiobook.

So much death. Why learn their names if they just die anyway?

Loved my bias Diomedes, son of Tydeus, the god-fighter with a whole book flexing his based chadness (Book 5).

Ajax vs Hector duel was hilarious.
They tied and gave each other gifts 😭
