I was in a reading rut and this was the perfect book to break it. It’s just heartbreaking and joyful and full of memorable characters. I’ll definitely be reading her other books.

I really love these people. I already miss them. What a beautiful, soul filling book.
I really loved this book, the characters, the narrator, the settings. I fell in love with the lot. I was enjoying it so much until the last chapter which felt, apart from adding another few great lines about art, felt unnecessary. I was ready for the conclusion, not the addition of other characters. I can see why it was added but I would have given it five stars without it! I think there was also one little error in the timeframe of one song but a truly lovely book with some inspiring quotes.
Recommended by a friend & I loved it. The writing and the build up and the little moments of life that seemed small but really stood out at the same time. I was so invested in this
I loved this book and wanted to give it a 5… however the last 1/4 book just kind of left me feeling meh. I loved the characters in this book. The bonus of it primarily taking place in Italy was great too. Ulysses and Cress were my favorite characters. A story that spans across many time periods and much fiction.
