This is one of 12 stories that take place during each month. I love the concept. A quick Christmas Romance story that left me wanting more character development. I listened to this and I couldn't tell the difference between who was talking. All the voices sounded the same so it was a bit confusing. I do not recommend listening to this on auto.

A December bride is an endearing novella, perfect to be read during Christmas time. Seth is a male character that many female readers will appreciate for his dear personality. He protects her without overwhelming her and treats her right. That’s right, you can read a sweet novel where the protagonist is not an asshole and still enjoy it!

This contemporary romance was so sweet and good that I started to make up a word to describe it. Layla and Seth's story was absolutely perfect. The way they came together, parted and then reconnected was just right. Of course, I don't want to give anything away, but it goes without saying that true love always wins in the end.

(Sha-dow-wee-ba-zam! That's the word I made up, just in case you were wondering.)

I received a complimentary copy of this title from the publisher in exchange for an honest review. The words I have expressed are my own. I was neither compensated for my review, nor expected to give a positive review.

I hadn't realized until I started this one that the main character is a sister to Beckett O'Reilly from Barefoot Summer! Which completely explains why I loved this story so much. (You don't need to read that one first, this stands alone quite well. But if you haven't read either, you should remedy that! :) Layla and Seth have some seriously great chemistry. I loved all their bantering and dancing around their attraction. Ms. Hunter fills her (too short! I want more!) story with a sweet romance that left me grinning happily by the final page. And then I turned around and read it over again. It was just that good! Definitely a keeper. Highly, highly recommend this one! READ IT, READ IT, READ IT!!

A December Bride definitely makes me think of hallmark or lifetime kind of movie. It's about Seth and Layla. Well, Seth has basically been in love with Layla for all of his life. So when the opportunity to take her to his best friends wedding? How could he ever say not that? He wouldn't. No one would in that position. What could go wrong? Everything.

Layla and Seth are going to her cousin's wedding.. the groom? Her ex-fiance. Of course her and Seth somehow come up with the whole "they are engaged" story.. you instantly knew that a romance was going to blossom between these two. Plus, you knew that something was going to go wrong. Like completely wrong.

Of course, the chemistry between these two was adorable, sweet, and on fire. I instantly forgot that she was previously engaged to the other douchebag. I loved Layla and Seth so much that I will definitely continue on with this series.

Overall, it was super cute. A really short and easy read too.

SWOON!!

I love this story such a beautiful novella I was literally just saying after I finished Beckett and Madison's story that Layla should get a story I didn't even know about this book until after I read the second book in the series and I was so glad chapter 1 of this book was at the end of Dancing with the Fireflies (the 2nd book in the chapel springs series), loved this book so much can't wait to continue the series

This story is a quick read that quickly gets to a struggle between two people who have not been in the best of situations but take the time to work together and find out whats important. Why this book is short and sweet its a fun read. I know this is a novella but my only wish was that the story was longer this is a great and fun read and I can say easily be read in an hour to an hour and half. Definitely worth the buy. I can't wait to read more A year of the wedding books

December Bride is one of my favorite Hallmark Christmas movies. So when I found out that it was a book AND it was written by Denise Hunter I knew it was a must read this year! The perfect little Christmas novella to round out my Christmas reading this year. ❤️
