there was a kafka exhibition in taipei, next to the vocational university I work at. I didn’t finish the book in time to be a knowledgeable guest there, unfort /-:

read the version with a bunch of other short stories!

favorite one was on the torture device in the desert (?) which i read as a break from playing roblox trivia games w jonas in kuala lumpur.

I personally related Gregor's metamorphosis to disability, and how the disabled are often seen as burdens. In that way, I enjoyed the family dynamics and see them as near realism. However, I did not love the novella. I feel most of the text was underwhelming, and the character's form was the saving grace from total banality.
