Not My favorite Kresely Cole tends to have kinda lackluster endings which is why her books never end up with high ratings

I loved the hero in this book he was so sweet and did so much for bett in fact i think hes my fav so far. bett on the otherhand just made me so mad with her "love" for cass and never really redemed herself in my mind at the end it should have been her begging for a chance not trehan all in all though great read

I was just so happy to have another IAD related book. I was intrigued by The Dacians from Lothaire's book and I was happy to get a better glimpse of their lives.

Stuff I liked:
- Trehan is HOT HOT HOT...and the smex is even hotter.
- The phantom that follows Bettina around. I can't wait to see how his life turns out...he better get a book.
- The whole tournament concept.
- The plot twist at the end.
- NIX!

I didn't like:
- The slow start.
- Morganna, I just didn't like her...
- The plot twist at the end.

So the ending is somewhat predictable but...there is a twist at the end that is different and I somewhat didn't expect it. I also hate that whole "push the relationship apart after the climax" thing that KC does. I've never been a fan of it.

One of my favorite parts were the lead up to the battles. I found my heart pounding, waiting to learn what would happen. When Trehan fights THE BIG NASTY I was almost as tore up as Bettina.

This is a decent book. I can't wait for more. One of the few book series that has been going on FOREVER that I still stick with.

This one was a bit different since it didn't involve as many of the previous characters we've read about in the IAD series. However, I did enjoy it. Getting to know both Bettina and Trehan was interesting. I did love the little veiled references to other characters and was very excited at the end when some of the characters we've grown to love made appearances. It will be interesting to see what the next Dacian book brings us.

Cole has delivered again! I love, love, loved Trehan. Yes, typical Lore male, but that's what I love/crave! I didn't think I was going to like Bettina, but by the end I loved her too. She was very relatable, for me at least. The development of their relationship was everything I wanted and more. And it was so awesome seeing all the other Lore species. I don't care what the series is called, as long as it is set in the IAD world, I'll be happy. After 13 books, Kresley Cole has yet to disappoint me. As always, can't wait for the next book!
dark tense medium-paced

Still liked it, but it was weaker than the usual standard.

My GOD I freakin' love love love this book. I missed reading Kresley Cole writing and i enjoyed every page and was ,very sad turning to the last page but happy but sad to because it was over. I devored this book in two days. I love the series and the characters we so enjoyable to read. I love the competition the book was surrounded by, it made it even better. I love the romance and the way it was new to the character the feeling they were feeling. LOVE <3. Want more!

3,5 stars

I really liked Daciano but Bettina was meh throughtout the book. Only in the few final chapters did she spike my interest. So hence the 3,5 stars. I looooove that the author will continue to write about the Dacians yay. And I absolutely loved to see Lothaire in another perspective and the way he and Elizabeth rule their kingdom together. I absolutely adore this series and I can't get enough of it.

It's hard for Kresley Cole to not write a book that I don't enjoy(the one about a ghost). While they are all fairly predictable, I liked the tournament, and how the male mc kept trying to teach the female mc how to be a stronger person. And the sex was hot!

Reread 7/20

Story Features:
• a messy, messy love triangle
• an epically awesome & gory Battle Royale style tournament
• and buckets & buckets of angst

So, 5 stars. Duh.
