Geweldig boek vol humor geschreven vanuit het perspectief van de schapen die op een dag hun herder kwijt zijn (die blijkt te zijn vermoord). Ook vertaald in het Nederlands, maar het Duitse origineel is goed te lezen.

Bonus points for originality - I can honestly say I've never read anything like it. A cross between an Agatha Christie murder mystery and Watership Down, only with sheep. Fascinating. That said, there were large chunks of the book where I was like "WTF is happening?" and it might have been a DNF if the sheep hasn't been so charming and intriguing.

This book was a very fun read! Definitely different than my usual reads but in a good way cause what you do mean the sheep are the detectives?? It was a large and fun cast that while sometimes felt too big and hard to keep track of, kept me engaged and sometimes laughing (particularly when the sheep wouldn't understand a human reference/thing and come to their own conclusion).

The beginning was a little slow for me but once the sheep really started detecting, it picked up a lot. I did not expect the ending and honestly while I found it sad, it was a little anticlimactic for me. But loved that the sheep will be vacationing in Europe in their future.
