4 stars. Yay! This was probably my favourite so far. It’s based on Agatha Christie’s classic Murder on the Orient Express and the characters are similar in some ways and different in others.
The plot - a murder happens on the train - is also somewhat similar I however the culprit is drastically different to Christie’s novel. There are some important themes here about religion, prejudice, discrimination and persecution which are fitting considering the time period of the book as well.
Hazel is such an interesting character (and in my mind she is the main character although Daisy loves the spotlight) and we get to see some of the overt and less overt racism she experiences in her travels.
The addition of her father provides a different dynamic and overall I felt the characters blended well together and everyone had a distinctive personality.
This was my favourite in terms of characterisation and plot so far and I can’t wait to read the next one in the series.

i NEED this series to be made into a tv show ASAP!!!
Hazel Wong's father takes Hazel and Daisy to Europe aboard the Orient Express and just like in the Christie novel a murder takes place. This means that Hazel and Daisy are again on the scent, with clues, and suspicious characters all round, they set about solving a murder.
This is another great addition to the Murder Most Unladylike series. So far I have enjoyed books 2&3 more than I did book 1.
