Love it, love it, love it.

That's all there is to say, really. Except that I figured out who the murderer was long before Hazel and Daisy did, so really I ought to be given my own Detective Society badge.

This novel is so unputdownable that I have been ignoring work all morning so I could finish it (and thus confirm my suspicions, of course). I absolutely adore this series, and am so thrilled that I accidentally stumbled across the first book in the bookshelves at Tesco. What an ordinary place for such an extraordinary discovery! Truly, the Murder Most Unladylike mysteries have revived my joy of reading in the most wonderful way.

Anyway, there is no time to waste - onwards to [b:Jolly Foul Play|27030027|Jolly Foul Play (Murder Most Unladylike Mysteries, #4)|Robin Stevens|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1444385191l/27030027._SY75_.jpg|47073078]!

I can not fault this at all Robin Stevens (and the Detective Society) have done it again!

This was an absolutely wonderful read. So much fun! Daisy and Hazel are everything I think girls should be! They are super cleaver and have the best friendship in the world!
I didn’t see the twists coming because I was so immersed in the story and the girls’ thought processes!

Definitely recommend this series even if you just want to dip your toes into reading a mystery series!

⚠️Triggers: Violence, blood

The murder mystery theme hooked me initially but I lost engagement. The younger me would probably have loved this as I didn’t realise this was a kids book. Happy to read kids books of course but I should have twigged from the front cover.

I really like the character breakdown and the glossary at the end but found there were a lot of characters to keep track of.

This is based on Agatha Christie’s novel the Orient Express but I haven’t read any of her books. Maybe that is where I went wrong...
