Your sons ain’t shit! This was my intro to Lucinda Berry, hoping her other stuff is as thrilling as this one!
4.5 stars
Would have been 5 stars but I wanted a little more.
Slow clap for a single mom that got it right. This is what you do when you think your kid did something bad; you wrestle with it, you question it, you talk to them and you trust your instincts. And then you do what's right no matter how hard it is, and you admit that a mother's love is not always unconditional.
Not as gut-wrenching as Saving Noah, but still a great look at a mother and son's relationship.
What I was missing was more info on Chloe in the aftermath and I wanted to know if Hunter learned about his real dad and how that went etc...

This was great. Short is my fav length for thrillers, and I enjoyed every chapter. It was all easy to guess but that didn’t affect my enjoying it.
CW: SA
This was a decently produced and written audiobook. It has some interesting beginnings of things to say about casual acceptance of toxic male behavior but doesn't really delve into this in any significant way. Berry handles the subject of SA with an acceptable level of care - have I seen more careful handling? Once or twice. Have I seen much more inappropriate handling of this subject? Definitely. Worth a listen if one has an interest and can handle the subject matter.
