Lucinda Berry has been doing it for me lately but the ending of this book really upset my spirit. There was so much build up to finding out who the culprit was and then…epilogue with rushed details to try and fill in the blanks.
Good audiobook. Even though you knew who the “bad” person was throughout the whole book it was still a good read and the epilogue adds a whole level that just makes your heart ache as being a mother.
The audio narration was impeccable! The book was super predictable, though, and hit me a little too close to home. I wouldn’t necessarily call it a thriller, but more like true crime.
One of Our Own drew me in immediately. It's only available as an audiobook and is not available as a book in print, but the narration and characters are fantastic. The story is actually quite horrifying and sad. What would you do if you learned your child might have a part in a terrible crime?
I loved AJ Cook as the narrator!! This was a quick listen, but the twist was pretty predictable. It kept me interested the whole time though!
Predictable snoozefest. Not sure how something can call itself a thriller when you figure out the only “thrill” immediately.
This was my first by this author and I’ll be looking into more of her work. This one was short (4 hour audiobook) but definitely packed full of good story telling. The audiobook was amazing with the phone calls that happen. The subject matter could have been ripped from the headlines. It was pretty predictable but I still enjoyed it even so.

Holy MOLY I'm gonna have to read Lucinda Berry's whole blacklist now
I enjoyed the pacing of the story and the narration was good. The twist was somewhat predictable but enjoyable nonetheless.
