I literally just finished this book in 4 hours...got some answers, but left with more questions. I have a feeling I'm not sleeping until I finish the series. I love the relationship between Jonah and Melanie, their honesty is refreshing. On to the next book and a lot of coffee, lol.
Clearly the book before the last book. No resolution. I'd wait to read this series until the last book is published.
It is good to see that Melanie has a backbone. More and more information coming in and now it looks like Joe finally gets to defend his brother.

** I got an advanced readers copy from the author for an honest review**
5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
This is the 5th book in the Steel Brothers Saga (Craving, Obsession, Possession, Melt).
** This is a dark romance. It contains possible triggers**
What to say about this book...... Captivating, Suspenseful, Sexy!!!
I love the Steel Brothers. Talon, Jonah, Ryan...I love the, all.
This book continues the story of Jonah Steel and Melanie Carmichael. You learn more secrets and new facts are revealed. There are so many twists and turns in this book that will keep you on your toes. Each book gets deeper and deeper into the story.
Burn picks up either Melt left off. Jonah and Melanie's relationship grows throughout the story but it also faces challenges. Their relationship is hot, sexy, and also frustrating.
Jonah is still dealing with the guilt of Talon's abduction and Melanie is still dealing with the guilt of Gina's death.
Will their past guilt tear them apart or help push them closer together?
I love Helen Hardt and she has never disappointed me with her writing. The way she tells the story of the Steel Brothers is amazing! The detail in her writing is second to none. She knows exactly what to do to keeps you wanting more.
I can't wait for Surrender!!

This is a series that may be very triggering to readers. There will be a complete trigger list at the end of this review.
Jonah carries a lot of guilt from what happened to his younger brother Talon when they were children. He feels responsible, and can't seem to forgive himself.
Are his interactions with therapist Melanie Carmichael help him heal? Or is he now love blind, and unable to help Talon catch the culprits?
This book handles a lot of the triggers well, while also triggering others, so truly be careful if you are sensitive. Also, the smut is a bit outdated in how it is written in my opinion. Certain words that aren't used in most smut driven text are prevalent in this series, and pulled me out of it a bit.
But I am invested in the characters and the story, so I do plan to continue.
Trigger Warning:
Child Abuse, Rape, Sexual Assault, Kidnapping, Physical Violence, War Trauma, Depression, Suicide, PTSD
