From the Factoid books series. This series illustrates various subjects in comic book form; some of my favorites include the Big Book of Conspiracies and The Big Book of Grimm. This volume concerns criminals, mostly small-time crooks, who for one reason or another are memorable. They're all true, or reputedly true, stories (some of them, especially the stories about mob hitmen, are noted as possible mafia legends), and tell about people like a blind guy who robbed banks and a crook who was a true master of disguise. Most of these criminals were caught through their own stupidity or hubris, but there's a few who got away. Good stuff.
