This was good! I really enjoyed the small town setting and the characters. The mystery was fine, but I just read cozies for the characters and relationships. I thought the older women in this were so funny. Fortune was ok she’s not my favorite main character, but as the story went on she grew on me.

Don't get me wrong, this was an enjoyable romp and the old Sinful ladies are great. But Fortune is the most annoying iteration of a "not like other girls" girl. I geeeet it, you hate femininity and you think you're cool for that. 🙄 Cassandra Campbell's narration partly makes up for it - those Southern accents are fun to listen to.
