The main character of this book is definitely someone who says “BarTHelona” when talking about their vacation to Spain and, therefore, it was hard to root for her as a heroine. The premise of the book was fun, and there were certainly some funny moments, but overall it felt predictable and a little cringey.

This book was such a surprise for me. I thought it was going to be another cliche, romance read (and it is) but it’s also so much more than that. It’s about love, loss, grief and finding yourself. It’s helped me to realise that after a big life changing event, you’ll never be the same person again, and that’s okay. The characters are all likeable (except the ones that are not supposed to be) & the minor characters are so cute! Such a great book that I honestly might have to buy my own copy of. The only reason this is not 5 stars is literally the last word of the epilogue..

This was a nice brainless read. The premise intrigued me and, honestly, I’d love to see it done better with braver character development. I felt the author went close. almost there, but then took the easy way out.

I quit this book at least three times. I just didn’t like the main character. She was inconsistent, shallow, and not terribly smart. She labored over unnecessary descriptions, and her dialog felt contrived. But I loved the supporting characters. They were all far more interesting and believable than the protagonist. I kept reading because I wanted to know what happened to them.
