Literally all the her parents fault. Like ya your kid is gonna sulk, you loved her away from the only home she’s known and her boyfriend whom she’s known all her life. And the parents still talked but wouldn’t let them talk?? Dumb. Anyway, love cheaters, especially when it hurts the original boyfriend stealer. But the angst just wasn’t there, they were all just dumb

I've loved Ella writing from the first book that I've read and have always had a hard time putting the books down. This book will hold you through out tell the very end. And you will have a major book hangover after reading..

I couldn’t do it. The girl was whiny, she made fun of other girls and was like “I’m super special, I’m not like other girls” and I just couldn’t do it. It’s hard to root for a MC you don’t like

A quick read I didn't connected with Daisy a s Quinn at all missed the mark for me.

I didn't agree with some of the decisions Daisy and Quinn made, but it made sense for their situation and the other party isn't completely blameless either.

But Callum...I wanted more of him. He was my favorite male character in the book and we got to know his situation a little bit I'm going read his books next

"You and me ... like the moon and the stars, we're permanent."

With her fourth book, Ella created something beautifully heartbreaking. I really enjoyed her Surface Rust duet and already knew she had a great talent to touch our hearts. But with Suddenly Forbidden she did so much more!

"And underneath the stretch of dark skies, we were each other's stars."

Reading this book was like being in a constant heartache. At least I'd say for the first 2/3rd. My heart broke right at the beginning and continued to stay in this state until the end when it finally was mend again. Ella has a wonderful way to write beautiful characters and you can't help yourself relating to them and feel what they feel.

"There really were no winners when it came to games of the heart. Unless you count your miseries as victories."

Daisy and Quinn are such a cute main characters. So real. They seem to be perfect. But they show us, that non of us is perfect. Everyone has flaws and makes mistakes or bad decisions. And that's ok, because we are all human. Daisy lives for her heart and expresses her feelings with art. I could totally rely to her heart break and I felt it deep inside me with every page. I asked my self repeatedly if I'd made the same decisions or not. But honestly, who could say so? Love makes us sometimes do stupid things we can't really explain.

Besides those two main characters we get to know Alexis, Cullum, Pippa and Toby. They are all great in their own ways. Even though Alexis will most likely be your least favorite. Ella, would you mind taking up the story of Pippa and Toby? They have so much potential and I would love to read more of those guys!

"I love you. Whether this lasts seconds, minutes, or an hour, it'll last forever where it counts."

The story of Daisy and Quinn is told in dual POV and contains certain back flashes to their past. We learn how they grew up together and fell in love. How they were separated by fate and that they both dealt badly with the separation. Now in the present at college they meet each other again and have to face a heartbreaking truth. Ella let's us experience a world of love, hurt, betrayal and growing up. I really like to say more here, but some things are better left unsaid, because it would spoil your reading experience.

"She was my first in every way, in a way that messed up something fundamental inside me, when I realized we weren't going to be each other's last."

Suddenly Forbidden is an angst filled second chance romance that'll make your heart hurt in every possible way. It makes you feel things so deeply, that'll twist your insides and you just want it to stop. And it will, because the end is an emotional explosion that has been built up through the whole book.

I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

Not what I was expecting

I don’t think I expected the heroine to be the other woman. It didn’t sit well with me. I enjoyed the writing and the characters, but I think this plot wasn’t for me.
