Incoherent and all over the place it is no better than the first volume which is still fun during some parts. Story of Gertrude trying to go home continues.

Update/edit August 2020:
So rereading this made me really enjoy this volume a lot more because I can see what the author is trying to do with the story and how volume two is really the bridge between the fast-paced, crazy introduction of volume 1 and the character-development/story development filled volume three. Volume two is all about the characters building stamina, especially Gert's. The volume allows both Gert and the readers to explore the world a bit more.
Original Thoughts:
This is still a great series, but i think i liked the first one more. Each chapter was very self contained and the ending didn't leave me longing for more like book 1. Still love larry, such a great character. I love gertiude too but not sure where her plot is heading. The artwork is fucking amazing and i'll definitely pick up book 3.

I enjoy the art very much, but the story is a bit inconsistent for me.

I liked volume 2 more than volume 1, and I think it's because they really scaled back the senseless rage.

Or I got used to it. But I think it's the former.

I still wish that the writing was as clever as the art is good.
