Gad ikke læse den efter at have kigget lidt hist og pist.
Budskab modtaget - har ikke brug for en gennemgang af den amerikanske flåde.

Marquet does something with this book that many other’s who have written “leadership” books have failed to do. Many have criticized his process as elementary and basic, but I firmly believe those people just didn’t give it a chance.

The genius isn’t in the individual steps (many of these are commonly taught in leadership courses) it’s in the process of implementing them in a way that best suits your organization and giving it time to work. Marquet walks us through each situation that sparked change within his org and why it was implemented that way and then gives examples of how it could be altered for non-mil orgs. He also accounts times when he failed at following through, the crew didn’t agree, or he lost his patience for it to work.

Are the ideas presented in this book new or exceptionally innovative? Not necessarily. But is the information presented in a way that is digestible and actionable for any leader? Absolutely. I don’t typically enjoy reading leadership books because they all seem disingenuous or predictable, but Marquet’s “Turn the Ship Around” is one of the few exceptions.

Meh. Read this book for work. Not the kind of book I would pick up on my own. In that regard this turned out to be exactly what I expected.
