Captivating and enlightening. I have read other books by Angela Davis and enjoyed finally reading this memoir she wrote when she was only 28, but had already had more than a lifetime's worth of expierences.

I found this book extremely interesting, thought provoking and well written. I would not describe this as light reading, but I feel it is a worthwhile read and it helped me consider things with a new perspective.
