I didn't realize I had gotten so far behind in this series. They're quick reads with short chapters - perfect for travel.

I didn't love it like I loved the first few. The personal stuff wasn't as interesting to me and the one mystery plot wasn't very compelling.

Lindsay Boxer is pregnant!

Her fantastic news isn’t slowing her job down though. When a murder weapon from a crime scene is linking to four untouchable criminals in San Fransisco, the bigger mystery is finding out it was taken from her own department’s evidence locker. The killer could be someone close to home.

She’s also called to investigate a bizarre crime scene where two bodiless heads have been displayed in the garden of a famous actor. When another head is dug up, Lindsay worries about how many more they will find.

While dealing with two important cases, she becomes the target of a reporter’s mission to display Lindsay’s personal life to the public – and there’s no one she can turn to.

What can I say? It's a James Patterson book...he is a god among writers and deserves to be there. I read every book he puts out every single year. I am part of the JamesPattersonLibrary.com, so new release come to me quickly and as anyone who reads a book by him knows, it never takes longer than a few hours to finish his books. I love the Women's Murder Club series just as much as his other series and this one was no exception. It was fast paced, intriguing, and nail biting good!! I recommend any Patterson book, but I think that this series is very important to read in order...which I don't think is the case for his Alex Cross, Private, or Michael Bennett series. If you have never read one of the WMC books, go buy book one right now....why are you still reading my review??? You'll thank me in a couple hours for the recommendation but you'll hate me because you will feel the need to purchase every single book and devour them like a gallon of Haggan Daaz ice cream :)

I would've liked a more detail reasoning on why the skull killer did what they did

This was a pretty Typical James Patterson Novel. It isn't an Alex Cross novel so I was learning/re-learning about different characters this time around so that was about the biggest difference. overall it was enjoyable and kept me entertained for about a week.

11 books in and I still find this series an absolute page turning experience. I feel completely invested in these women's lives... Will things work out for Suki? Will Cindy end up with kids? Is Linds' baby a boy or girl? Can't get my hands on the next one fast enough. I love how the women's strengths balance each other out.

Finished this in a day.... audiobook version. This is where I left off on this series years ago. Don't know why I didn't read past this book, but I needed to reread up until this point to remind me what occurred. Finally, after several years, onto book 12.

Books by Mr Patterson and his crew just seem to get more and more rushed. Once I actually got into this one, I think it only took me about 90 minutes to finish the whole thing, and it is a 400 page book.

There were two plots happening in this one, an INTERESTING one, about a guy who is going around killing drug dealers, and a surprisingly UNinteresting one about some heads found on a famous actor's property. Either could have been its own, better, book if they had had some space and time to grow.
