Patterson's books are always quick and easy reads. I typically can finish them in one day. I have a love-hate relationship with him. I get irritated that I can finish them so quickly but love that it's an easy read. This book was interesting in that Lindsay is pregnant and you start to see that impact her work. It's nice to see her lose some of her rougher edges. I am interested to see how pregnancy and parenthood affect this series.

Women's Murder Club: Lindsay is investigating two separate crimes - a vigilante cop they are calling "Revenge" who is killing drug dealers, and the discovery of two heads on the property of a famous movie star. As usual, she solves both, with 'Revenge' being a cop whose son overdosed and is now permanently incapacitated, and the heads belonging to victims who visited the historic house and were murdered by the daughter of the caretakers, who is obsessed by the movie star. Along side this is the usual personal complications, where the now-pregnant Lindsay is told that her husband Joe is having an affair, only to later learn that it was a lie from a jealous ex-lover. Exciting and quick read, with good solid characters.

Very fluffy and predictable. Too much of a build up for everything to end so suddenly. Not a big fan
