The range of emotion I felt towards Lori through this book surprised me. The past two horror novels I read the main characters felt flat. In this instance you feel sorry for Lori and then a slow building disgust/repulsion as you uncover her story. Excellent writing.

Haunting and disturbing, but not for the reason you think it will be… fast-paced and overall enjoyable, but definitely not my favorite horror novella.

THIS BOOK! Easily one of the best books I have ever read. This is one that settles into your bones and will not let go. I will be thinking of this book for a long time. If you can handle strong trigger warning situations I would highly recommend.
