Someone please tell me how to rate this book! I gave it a 3 because I could have rated it either a 1 or a 5 and been totally accurate. I just simply do not know how to rate a book that springs (spoiler and trigger warning) rape pedophilia incest upon me. The ending was perfect though. Five star endings are hard in genre writing. Just ignore the rape pedophilia incest which is the whole crux of the main character's motivations, and you have a good, honest horror story. What?

This wasn’t….terrible. I can see why a lot of people enjoyed it. If definitely had some disturbing parts but I was kind of expecting…more? 

I’m not sure. But I’m happy with how it ended. It makes me want to read The Willows again

I wasn't so sure where everything was going. The turns really got me, and it made the ending more chilling for it. Well done. I do wish there was a bit more for the one black character that appeared to do. No spoilers, though.

This was nasty and dark and disturbing but I did enjoy it and read it in basically one sitting because I needed to know what the end was gonna be and it did not disappoint. but strong TW for incest and sexual assault (I did not know about any of this going in when I tell you my jaw DROPPED)

Anyways I’m so glad Lori ended up getting murdered by her freakish serial killer bf because she deserved that and ten times more
