The writing style of this novella was a bit tough to get accustomed to, but once I got used to it I really enjoyed the story. There are some creepy scenes, as well as an eerie tone that intensifies as the reader learns more and more about Carmilla. It's got a fun campfire-horror-story vibe.

this is so cool?? I never knew that Dracula (and much of other modern vampire media) came from this. a villainous 1800s lesbian!? so what if she's the devil?? at least the devil has a job. the 4 stars is literally because I think it should be longer. I wish she got to kill more people like let her cook am I right
