4 1/2 stars. absolutely adored this. that’s all i gotta say (and also that whilst only having to read 150 pages was a treat, i ultimately did find it too short. simply because i enjoyed it so much. would’ve loved to get a bit more insight into carmilla’s character etc.)

It can certainly be said it would have been thrilling in its time. Today, not quite so much.
As a lover of all things horror, this was an awesome read. Quick, easy, and not too much going on in terms of the plot, but it was cool to read about one of the OG vampires who inspired much of what we know today
