It’s classic lesbian vampire literature, of course it’s good. I learned that this was originally published as in installments in a magazine, so I had a lot of fun pretending to be an 1870s noblewoman. Hurriedly making my way down the street to fetch the newest release for one shilling, and then throwing the magazine down onto the drawing room table and fanning myself dreamily. Why, if only a Carmilla would come and haunt my dreams!
