The best part of this book was the story of Mindy and Will, which read as a cheesy romance novel that I would totally be into. I didn’t really like the imaginary email exchange at first, but found myself into by the end. This was way better than her first book, but felt like a random collection of stories from her like that having much cohesiveness, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing. She should write cheesy romance novels, which I guess is what she does for TV.

this book's simply an enjoyable, lighthearted, quick read, exactly as it should be. why not me? makes me smile and giggle bc mindy can always sneak in a few jokes on almost every pg; she's just funny. it might not have too much substance but it's entertaining enough. i particularly like the harvard law speech and her lil jabs @ white men thru the book. also, that obama staffer story got me on the edge of my seat like i was reading a romcom short story; a will-they-wont-they that beats many romcom books for sure.

A delightful read that didn't make me stop laughing while making me think about our society and our view of ourselves. I found it short but appreciated that it was meant to be direct, enlightening, simple to digest and fun, perfect for a quick read.
