Gahhhh! Why do I feel like the entire series is ruined?? Mac did so good sticking to get guns, she had to ruin it by being soiled by evil!! NOOOOO what a horrible ending!!
adventurous fast-paced

Hi, My name is Lilyan and I am a Fever addict.

I am SOOO obsessed with this series. As with the previous book, Jericho Barrons got the series it's 5 stars. What a character!

In the 3rd installment, the sexual tension is still brewing between the Barrons and Mac, V'lane continues to be a creeper wife-beater type, the hunt for the Sinsar Dubh is still on and Mac is still unsure who to trust.

The ending of this installment sees a major plot shift. We know things will change drastically from the comfortable pace they've been moving at.

I'm super excited about the final 2 books. Moning will not disappoint.

I loved rereading the early days of Mac and Jericho and BBB! I forgot how young and crazy Dani was too. Watching Mac and her bond and slowly transform has been the experience. I will always hold out hope that KMM will give us more Barrons' POV from these early days. The ending still guts me each time.

Nobody looks good in their darkest hour. But it's those hours that make us what we are.

"You've mistaken me for someone else. Do not wait on me, Ms. Lane. Do not construct your world around mine. I'm not that man."
Oh, but he is!!

And the obsession continues…..

So I am now 3 books into the 5 that exist for this series and all this book did was solidify my theory. If you don’t know about my theory, scroll to the bottom of this review and check out the reviews for Darkfever and Bloodfever. I say this because I don’t want to type out the same thing over and over and bore you all. *wink wink*

One thing that this series has taught me is that the long story arc can and does still exist. If you are not familiar with the Fever series (I know! I know! I was the last one…), this is not a series that can or should be read as stand alone installments. If you pick up Faefever (book 3) and have not read Darkfever and Bloodfever (books 1 and 2, respectively), then don’t read it. You will be lost and you will miss some very important details. Not to mention some seriously funny ass moments. “Fock you, mizz Lane” ß- spelled out withJericho’s accent. Just trust me when I say start at the beginning on this one. You will not regret it.

I mentioned in my previous reviews that the character development for our main lady has been good. I have to say that it really shines in Faefever. Her character development shines enough that I am able to completely overlook the little things that irritated me before (i.e. – her rainbow obsession, her ridiculous adoration of the color pink). She continues to grow and literally get smarter before our eyes. Her ignorance has been an internal point of contention with me and Mac gets smacked in the face with a big ‘ol reality bitch slap in the book – well, a couple of them actually – that really snaps her out of it. After that moment, I found myself really cheering her on, not justJericho.

The one thing that I realized while listening to this audiobook is that I cant stand Mac’s passive aggressive behavior. I understand it to a degree. She needsJerichoto serve her purposes but the constant issue with her keeping things from him can be infuriating. I would love to see her just sit him down and say “shut your yap and listen. This is what I know. Now tell me what you know or I walk.” It would make things in the story line a little less frustrating but then again, it would also kill a BIG part of the mystery, which is what is keeping me tied to my iPod 10 hours a day.

Other than that little tid bit, I love this book. From beginning to end. There’s lots of mystery. Lots of humor. Tragedy. Angst. And the best thing of all, there are at least 3 major stunner moments, including the very tail end of the book, that will leave you absolutely slack jawed. And the cliffhanger. Oh, the cliffhanger. This book is like one great big anxiety attack.

Overall, I am giving Faefever 5 stars. If I could, I would give it more for the simple fact that the story arc in this series is so good that I got the next two audiobooks this morning just so that I didn’t have to take a break in between. I am totally hooked.

Well that was… quite the ending
