“I’d die for him.”
I AM DEAD. I AM UNWELL. I AM FREAKING OUT. WHAT THE FKCUSBSNLCOSHDNFK.
Okay I’m really unsure if this book deserves 4 or 5 stars. I want to give it 5, but to give it 5 would be to say that it was perfect. And I was not perfect. It was sooooooooo good. But not perfect. Can I give it 4.5 stars? Yeah that’s what I’m gonna do. 4 stars isn’t enough. Let’s do a quick overview of what I like/didn’t like:
✅Mac growing up and being her own person not reliant on everybody else/ using other people to get what she wants and not the other way around
✅V’Lane. Is this an unpopular opinion?? I love him

That ending was insane. I... I don't really have words right now? What a wild ride. The middle of this book kind of dragged and I was getting tired of the almost answers that the author kept dangling then snatching away at every turn. But this? I did not see this coming. I am going to take a break before I dive into the next book because I am just not prepared for whatever the heck is coming next.

Omg that's a damn twist... immediately diving into the next one. Jericho or Vlane have to do something, dammit
A few weeks ago, I decided to stop writing reviews and only log star listings for books because of some internal screaming and frustrations I had regarding the popularity contest that is the goodreads review system. However, I realize now I need to make a few notes to keep track of what I read because my memory is failing me... I am getting older.

Faefever is the third installment in a book series that I was not expecting to devour (enjoy?) as quickly as I am. Without revealing too much, Moning has been very smart about spreading out a major plot over a series of books instead of rushing and condensing everything into one, with the subsequent sequels revealing new plots and/or adventures. Because of this clever tactic, I am reading as much as I can just to finally know what happens to MacKayla.
Faefever brings a lot of action to the plot; it is the book with the midpoint and the rising action of the series.
We also have a lot of lore spilled out in the pages of this book, which I thoroughly enjoyed. I am not sure about the validity of this lore, of it's all the makings of Moning's imagination. Either way, very enjoyable read. It's exactly the brain candy that I need to help get me out of my reading slump.

Spoiler
Unseelie finally launch their master plan on Dubin and MacKayla is made a pawn of the dark side via death-by-sex Fae. We also find out (or at least I'm guessing) that Barron's is the War Unseelie Prince. Let's see if my guess is correct. We also have a lot of lore spilled out in the pages of this book, which I thoroughly enjoyed. This book is deliciously haunting. I love this series, second read through and I still love it just as much as the first time. <3
When you have to add a disclaimer at the end of your book to explain and justify the events that occurred in said book, you are most definitely doing something wrong.
Nobody looks good in their darkest hour. But it's those hours that make us what we are. We stand strong, or we cower. We emerge victorious, tempered by our trials, or fractured by a permanent, damning fault line.
Woah! This series just keeps getting better and better. If you can even freakin' believe it, there is A LOT more action in this book than the previous two. For the entirety of the book--especially the last 100 or so pages--I was on the edge of my seat, nervously biting my fingernails to the quick (metaphorically). The book left on a huuuuuuuuge cliff-hanger--and I can just say I am so glad that I am late to this Fever party and don't have to wait a freaking year to find out what happens!
P.S. WHAT THE HELL IS BARRONS?!?!? I am getting impatiently curious...
