It’s difficult to write a sequel but this hits the same notes as the original. Witty and engaging. The clues are there to follow but subjective enough to make the reveal as surprising as it is obvious.

I don’t know if it’s the writing style or what, but I’m just not completely sold on these books. They are good and worth the read, but I don’t know if I’d ever come back to it. It gives classic mystery vibes. I just don’t know how I feel about the first person narrating and being a character and a part of the story, etc. etc. It lessened the suspense for me.
