The art is magnificent, at times with figures recalling Egon Schiele, but the stories are pretty average for the great master, the first tale coming to a terrible and uninteresting ending. The Samsa tale is excellent and the third is very good, but the art is also marred by the worst sound effects ever in a comic book (is the letterer deaf?).
