First of all WOW. This book was my first 5 star read in a long time. If you’re in the edge about reading it please do it is well worth it. I can’t even begin to describe how this book has made me feel. Just when I thought I figured out what happened I was proven wrong. This book had me on the edge of my seat as I read and had me second guessing every single person in the book. I am in shock to find out who the real killer was at the end of the book and I don’t think anyone who reads this will ever suspect this person until its shown to us. As I sit here and write this review I’m in disbelief on how the book ended and I have so many questions. Was it Nicole? Was it another one of his victims? I have so many questions that I need answers too while I begin to digest this book.

This one started well but the high school dialogue was cringey and I struggled to make it through those chapters. There were several points where I was disinterested with the story and the characters and other points where I was mildly captivated. I like Charlie Donlea but feel like this one missed the mark overall.

This was such a great book and thriller. Always keeping you on your toes. Addictive, fast paced, and filled with interesting details about dead bodies and captivity victims and perpetrators.
My only complain is regarding the stereotyping of people with piercings and tattoos, as if we are all a weird, unclean, crime inclined people. Very bad on the author’s part and definitely showing a bias, or at least all of the characters’ bias.
