Reviews with content warning for Acephobia/Arophobia - Loveless

This book was a heck of an emotional roller coaster, in an amazing way. I have read all of Alice Oseman’s novels up to this one, and this one is by far my favorite so far. Really all I have to say is, WHAT A STORY! Y’know when you read a book so good that it leaves you wishing there were more? Loveless is one of those books. The plot, the characters, EVERYTHING about this book is insanely good. I absolutely highly recommend Loveless to anyone who would enjoy a good teen novel about a girl who finds out things about herself she never knew were even possible and is into theater (no really, there are a LOT of Shakespeare references).

Sweet, a little cringey, very YA but I enjoyed it, I wish I had read this when I was younger.

this book was very good. very well written. i related a lot to Georgia’s descriptions of asexuality but also very much appreciated the aro rep too. i think Alice Oseman’s writing really conveyed the feeling of the process of figuring out your LGBTQIA+ identity through confusion, self hatred, denial and sadness.

i also really loved how the book showed that love isn’t just a romantic thing, but can also absolutely and very much be a platonic thing which is just as strong and just as meaningful, if not more so. it also showed the importance of friendships and how romance can get in the way of these.

this book was also v gay which i appreciated, very much recommended for anyone questioning/figuring out their identity or already identifying as queer (tho please read the content warnings as always!!)

Loved the discussions of discovering self via college, especially the main character being aro/ace. I think it’s def an important book for teens to read. I think it was enjoyable and also informative, but I also found some of the misunderstandings in the book frustrating
