I had been wondering about this couple, Stacy and Pashov, for a long time. They are a couple that got together early on in the history of the books, but we never really got to hear their story. This book focuses on them trying to reconnect after Pashov loses his memory of being with Stacy and his son. This book is sadder and more frustrating than previous books in my opinion.

I wanted to really enjoy this book. And I did, here and there. But, man… was it frustrating! I didn’t feel like Stacy and Pashov’s story had to be a separate book. It was just miscommunication after miscommunication and both of them being frustrating, page after page. I felt bad about their situation but, it wasn’t enough to warrant an entire novel in my opinion. Still, I think they’re a sweet couple and I wanted them to prevail.

I honestly feel bad for Pashev. Stacy is a terrible, emotional, scaredy-cat, annoying person. I am just about done with my audiobook and I kinda can’t wait for it to be over. Nice that the tribe is at the new living quarters though. Yay for toilets.

Good continuation, but I wish we had seen a little more of the new place. I feel like this one was a little slower than the others. Very excited for Asha’s story next!
