sighhhhh. i’m a sucker for these books, however every once in a while you get one with a truly annoying FMC

•characters:
stacy annoyed me ☹️☹️ sorry not sorry ! i understand she was traumatized by her mate almost dying and all, but i can’t help but to feel as though she was being unnecessarily dense in regards to pashov’s memory loss

•plot:
isn’t it always the same with these books ? i do find the new village to be a very interesting aspect though

•twists:
none really to speak of

•mood/atmosphere:
still an ice planet, kind of zoned in and out for this one to be honest

•themes:
be patient with your mate if they suffer from brain damage ?

i will definitely be taking a short hiatus from these books lol. after 9, the do have a certain degree of repetitiveness

I’m eating this series up like candy. This one was a little sad at first, but Ruby Dixon just knows how to keep the story going. On to the next one!

This is Stacy and Pashov‘s book. This one takes place after the cave in and Pashov has lost all his memory after being hit in the head. He does not remember Stacy or their baby. I really disliked this one. It was just really sad. I felt like the whole tribe did not come together to support Stacy at all. I was just really surprised that she was kind of left on her own. She was going to pull her own supplies to their new living space while carrying her baby and everyone’s just gonna watch her struggle through that.  And then on top of that Pashov not only doesn’t remember them, but he’s not even trying to have any sort of relationship with Stacy or his very own child. I just thought it was really weird and not really in line with the morals that we’ve seen from the other men in the tribe this far. I feel like everyone just really let Stacy down and even though it had a happy ending the whole book overall was disappointing.
