Really interesting novella - I read it as part of [b:The Underwater Ballroom Society|38201274|The Underwater Ballroom Society|Tiffany Trent|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1516891327l/38201274._SY75_.jpg|59869623] and it's gorgeously done. Harriet is a great narrator, snappy and feisty but not great at everything; she runs up against that a lot, and her reckoning with her insecurity about her abilities feels right for a seventeen-year-old. Her relationship with her brother-in-law is hilarious, and the references to the school and the setting (Mars! In Regency years! With different countries colonizing it!) have gotten me SUPER interested in the first installment.
