As much as I love everything about the book from the premise to the characters to how well researched it is, I found it disappointing. It was her two most slow-paced books, only to kind of pick up at the 70% mark of the second book, and end rather predictably.
I think the biggest issue for me was that the pace was so slow that all the ah-ah moments or twist lost their intensity. The biggest twist isn't really developped or explained, which is a bummer because that twist kind of meant the space continuum made some choice and I would like to understand what Connie Willis imagined that was.
After reading the whole series, I think my favourite is still the Doomsday Book.
