this was the first mafia book i ever read. i was not expecting to like it so much. i got this recommendation from tiktok and decided to give it a try and holy shit. in the beginning i was not so into the story but i was reading very fast and the read was very enjoyable so i continued reading. i couldn’t put it down, it was 5am when i decided to stop and sleep. i spent the whole day, after i woke up, reading it. it was so good. i cried a lot in the end i was expecting ace to die not sofia

It was an addictive read as well as being an easy one, however it wasn't good. Majority of the characters were forgettable and didn't have too much of an impact on the plot and the plot itself was lacking and didn't really progress anywhere from its initial drawing point until the ending. Sofia's character was unlikable and selfish, with any chance the book had to focus on Ace, the focus was given to Sofia.. again. Even so her character wasn't well developed past her home life and being in love with Ace. In addition to this any real conflict that came about was solved in a few chapters, with the main conflict of the the story only really occurring at the end out of the blue. Even so, the writing itself was not good, it was much of the same thing repeated over and over, with many filler chapters, the writing style was just not enjoyable and almost juvenile.
Despite this I liked it, despite it having 100 chapters I completed it in a day and even though I didn't like Sofia or much of the other characters I still rooted for her happiness. Overall I would recommend this book to anyone needing to get out of a reading slump, or if you're just something fun to read and don't have too high expectations.

Some of the grammar was annoying like the constant mix up of 'your' and 'you're' and the word Mafia was overused but overall I loved the story and it made me very emotional at the end and I cried

I like this book and the end was unexpected but ong it was amazing
So, this wasn't as good as I wanted it to be. The ending was okay In terms of resulting emotions but I for one couldn't connect to Ace or Sofia or any of their family for that matter. I loved Ice, he was my only motivation in finishing. Dante...
Anyways, this just felt cliche, and cliche is good but it has to be good writing and interesting for me to like a storyline that's cliche. Speaking of the writing, I just didn't like it.
