My Recommendation
Such a stunning book. Bright and colourful, just like Elton John himself. I read this myself before I read it to my 5 year old, he liked how colourful was and enjoyed listening to it.
I really enjoyed this, a great addition to the little people, Big Dreams series.
Thank you Netgalley for this arc in return for my honest review.

Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for an e-ARC for an honest review.

I think that Elton John was a great choice for the 50th book in the series. Elton John is such a music icon for every age. I remember listening to Elton John as a child and loving the upbeat personality. Children should learn about his journey. He is a great addition to the Little People, Big Dreams series.

What a fabulous vibrant telling of the life of Elton John! His personality shines through the pages, I could almost hear the music. This book teaches us that our dreams can come true. If I were to fault anything it would be disagreeing with the statement that his name wasn’t cool enough to be a star. In my opinion; it should be made clear that HE thought it wasn’t cool enough. Just a thought and a small distinction but with books geared towards younger readers it’s nice to be positive.

One of the most colorful and exciting in this series, and that’s saying something.

Ahhh, Elton John. He is a living legend who has made music SO much cooler. Whether you've listened to his music before or have seen Rocketman, he's a super cool dude.

So, OF COURSE, I had to pick up this book. On top of it being from one of my fave children's picture books series that feature the best non-fiction content I've seen in a long time!

Elton John: Musician, Fashion Icon, real name is Reggie, best friend named Bernie, cool glasses, and overall cool guy. He's illustrated to be the sweetest, little nerd and he's just so cute. He's playing piano, auditioning, and learning his craft. This guy's story is told perfectly with the colourful artwork and beautiful illustrations. Honestly, these illustrations are WAY better than the previous instalments in this series. SO MUCH BETTER. SO COLOURFUL. I LIKE IT. ALL CAPS. STRESS THESE SENTENCES PLEASE.

Overall, this book is a must read from me!

Five out of five stars.

Thank you to NetGalley and Quarto for providing me a free copy of this book in exchange of an honest review.

This story of the life of Elton John written for young people is filled with wonderful illustrations of Elton and those people who have played a part in his life. Some of the words used might be a little advanced for young people including, refuge and advert, but overall this is a cute, child-friendly story of the life of Sir Elton John.
