Quick, fun book. Didn't age well with all the Harry Potter references.

I really enjoyed this book. The plot and action were to my taste. I loved all the characters but especially Jacob. I find the friendship between him and Cassidy really cute❤. I like Jacob's personality but also Lara's and I find the dynamic between them interesting. The action in this book made me unable to stop reading and wanting to know what happens next, but I was sad when I got to the end because I didn't want to part with the characters so quickly.
I'm glad I finally got to know Jacob's past too which made me tear and there were moments in the book where I just wanted to enter in it's world to give him a hug because his feelings are better described here and what he truly feels but I'm really happy that he has Cassidy by his side❤.

The part in the book where he talked about his family and how he's too afraid to go back to see them because he thinks they've been very happy without him since he died (he's a ghost) made me cry
3.5* Prefer the complexity of her adult books more but this was a fun read.

I really like this series. I think it’s a great and fun middle grade. I’ve been meaning to read it since I got it when it came out.
I loved the setting of Paris. Still love Cassidy. But Jacob kinda annoyed me this time a little bit. I loved the different type of ghost hunting that she had to do in this one.
I’m excited to read the next book. I hope there’s more past book 3 but Schwab hasn’t determined that happening.
