I bought a couple of these books years ago because my boyfriend is obsessed with Naruto, but forgot to read them. This book has a great, upbeat story ready to unravel on front of your eyes. The story draws you in from the first page. I enjoyed the small notes from the series creator at the start of nearly every chapter and the variety of characters with their own depth and personalities. The story is also quite funny. I can see why these characters have a special place in my boyfriend's heart. I'll be reading the other volumes I bought!

Naruto is a childhood favorite and I am trying once again to catch up to
the current releases from chapter one. The older I get the cuter and funnier I find Naruto. Such a fun and relaxing world, definitely recommend!

3.5/4 stars?

This was good. The beginning was a bit slow, but when it got down to the action I'm really enjoying it. I like Naruto. He's determined and funny, admirable. Sasuke and Kakashi are interesting, and I think learning about their characters throughout the series will cool. I'll be honest, I'm having a bit of trouble connecting with Sakura, so far she just comes across as a Sasuke Fangirl and nothing more to me, though she is obviously intelligent. I look forward to reading the next set of volumes.

If I liked the tone or the characters, the really messy art would ruin it for me. Kakashi is alright.
