On the Veronica Speedwell scale it's around 2 stars. I didn't find the mystery very interesting. Exploring the relationship between Stoker and his brother Tiberius was awesome. I like how their relationship progressed throughout the book; it was satisfying. The impediments to Veronica and Stoker's relationship, however, were stupid, pointless, and obviously thrown in to continue to lengthen the time until they fully acknowledge their feelings.

Some of the side characters were interesting and a lot of fun. Plus... Seance!
